Flexible Nasopharyngoscopy (NLP) is the use of a fiberoptic scope which is small enough to be easily placed through the nose and into the throat to examine the nose and throat thoroughly and also enable photos of these areas.  The exam is done after numbing the nose and throat with topical anesthetic spray.  This procedure usually lasts less than several minutes.
